They are both qualified and experienced nursery nurses, bringing with them a combined total of 30 years' experience working with babies and young children. This includes personal experience of the benefits of baby massage and positive touch. Touch is an instinctive form of communication between you and your baby from the moment it's born. Baby massage builds on the human need for touch, and numerous studies have proven the benefits to both mother and child, which include relieving wind and colic, boosting your baby' s immune system, helping digestion, improving circulation and respiration and many more.
They are both keen to pass this knowledge on to others and the Bumpkins Baby Massage Course is the result. Kelly and Helen's experience and qualifications also include caring for sick/premature babies on the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, nannying in private homes, first aid and they are also qualified Newborn Hearing Screeners.
The Bumpkins Course consists of 5 weekly lessons where you can learn how to massage your baby. Lighting, music and fragrant oil burners are used to create a relaxing and tranquil atmosphere. Group or one-to-one sessions are available with home visits arranged to suit individual needs.
