Singing Bowls

Ancient wisdom that has stood the test of time, Sound has long been used for healing and is now being rediscovered. Since time began, cultures around the world have used their voices, drums, rattles and musical instruments to evoke emotional, physical and spiritual responses, to soothe, uplift, balance and unite.

The therapeutic use of Sound for healing was developed in the Ancient Mystery Schools of Egypt, Greece, India and Tibet, and is now an excitingly new form of therapy in the West.

Grounded
Science has come a long way in its understanding of how sound works in the body. Sound healing is grounded in evidence that human blood cells respond to pure acoustic sound frequencies by changing colour and shape: cells become bathed in light and alive with resonance. The hypothesis is that therefore sick or rogue cells can be healed by sound. The therapy was developed by the French musician, acupuncturist and astrologer Fabien Maman whose extensive research can be found in his book ‘From Star to Cell: A Sound Structure for the Twenty-First Century'. According to Fabien Maman we are musical beings and every part of our body has a natural frequency which can be measured scientifically or sensed intuitively. When each part is at the appropriate frequency and when all the parts vibrate in harmony we say we are healthy. Equally, when a part is not at the appropriate frequency, we call this disease. By carefully assessing energetic imbalances, Sound Healing protocols may be used to restore balance and well being.

Sound Healing Instruments
Instruments used for Sound Healing are of the highest possible quality and have been sourced from around the world. Many will have been used in ancient ritual, such as sacred Himalayan bowls, Balinese Temple bells, pure crystal bowls, gongs, drums, rattles, flutes.. . The Monochorde Table is magical! As you lie on its surface the 53 strings are played to create a continuous flow of relaxing vibrations along the spine and wonderful overtones all around you. Special tuning forks may be used with precise protocols to offer sound and colour to the body via the meridians to bring about balance.

Deepest Relaxation
A blend of exotic and unusual sounds with rich harmonics, including vocal toning and overtoning, is used to create a sense of deep peace typified by brainwaves at theta and delta levels as in meditation and healing. The beauty of Sound Healing is that it has such a profound effect, but is non -invasive. You simply lie back in comfort and the Sound gently sweeps away ordinary consciousness, offering complete rest from our inner dialogue, allowing the mind to be re-tuned and the body to initiate its own repair and self healing processes so that we awake renewed. This ability to ‘switch off' the mind creates a sense of safe space for healing and ‘time out of time' which is a rare and beautiful experience, especially valuable for people who are stressed, anxious, unable to sleep or unwell.

Sound, Colour & Chi
When Sound is combined with the art of Colour Healing and Chi Movement, it is most powerfully effective, and can soothe the mind, harmonise the body, clear and strengthen the energy, and maintain optimum well being.
