Widdershins is an Ageing Well Centre, run by Age Concern. The centre, in Sebastopol, Torfaen, is fully accessible and offers a social and creative environment with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

They have a number of programmes to help keep people active and well this winter.

Nordic Walking Club
Nordic Walking is a great total body exercise suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels. Mondays at 12.30 p.m. - 1.30 p.m (suitable for beginners) and 2.00 p.m. - 3.00 p.m.

Tai Chi Class
Tai Chi class is held every Thursday at Widdershins between 2.30 p.m. and 4.00 p.m. at a cost of £2.00 per session.

Keeping your mind active is just as beneficial as physical exercise, try joining a class or a group, such as these offered at Widdershins.

You could try ICT Class (Information Communication Technology)
Learn new computer based skills or ‘brush up' on existing skills with the help of a professional tutor. The class is held every Tuesday between
10.00 a.m. and 12.00 p.m. and costs £2.00 per session.

Sewing Club - A new weekly sewing club that runs from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. at a cost of £3.00 per session.

Lunch Clubs are a great way of getting out and socialising. Every month, Age Concern Torfaen operate Lunch Clubs in 16 different locations.

Two new ones in Torfaen are
• Blaenavon - Every Tuesday at 12.30 p.m.
• Garndiffaith - Every 3rd Thursday of the month at 1p.m.
