Following the huge success of the MALIKA boutique in Westfield shopping centre, a second MALIKA boutique opened at the Bluewater shopping centre, on 4th February 2010. This new addition will sit alongside their existing four salons located around the capital.
The brainchild of Ritu Patel, MALIKA's philosophy is to make their customers feel that threading is a treat, not a chore, by providing highly trained therapists and quality soothing products that enable fast, effective and virtually pain free treatments.
The décor encapsulates the ultimate luxury lifestyle and soothing music is played to add to the ambience.
Co-owner Sejal Bhudia says "When Ritu and I came up with the concept of opening a threading boutique, we had no idea how successful it would be.
"We are very excited about opening our another boutique, and believe the success is down to our unique concept and the quality of threading which keeps our customers coming back to us time and time again".
Malika: The Art of Threading
Originating in Asia, the ancient art of threading has become increasingly popular in Western society and is an extremely effective and non-invasive way of removing hair.
Predominantly used to shape eyebrows, threading can also be used to remove unwanted hair from sensitive areas of the face such as the upper lip and chin. Threading guarantees a beautifully precise finish, encouraging stunning shape and definition. An exclusive hand-made formula of Ayurvedic oil is applied to the eyebrows to desensitise the follicle before starting the threading technique, which uses a piece of thread to twist, entwine and ease out the hair from the root.
Every new visitor to the salon receives a complimentary consultation where a highly trained Malika therapist expertly advises on emphasizing features and highlighting face and eyebrow shape for a flattering, eye opening effect. The stunning salon also has a discreet area for anyone wanting the hair removal process done in private and Malika also reserves salon chairs should customers want to have treatments done in a group.
For the ultimate pampering experience, the Malika method culminates in an invigorating Indian head massage. Additional treatments offered also include manicures, pedicures and eyelash extensions.
