I feel I let myself down; how many times in a day do we use this sentence ? How often do we believe that we are not doing well enough? How often in a day do we chastise ourselves for not being perfect? For not having lived up to our own expectations?

There was a time when I believed that I was letting myself down, and I was so convinced that this was true that I was making my own days pretty miserable.

In 2006 the Government found that in the UK population, up to 1.5% were suffering with severe mental health problems, up to 4 % were suffering from severe mental illness and up to 25% were presenting with mental health problems of some kind.

But perhaps, what is not so well known is just how good singing can be for general health and wellbeing. Singing can enhance our immunity and can even prolong our lives.
