The World Health Organisation (WHO) defines osteoporosis as a 25 percent reduction of bone mineral density (BMD) compared to that of a healthy young adult female.The milder form of Osteoporosis is referred to as Osteopaenia and this is defined as a bone mineral density between 10 and 25 percent below the adult mean average.

As my regular readers are now no doubt aware, good nutrition can play a vital role in the prevention of disease and the reduction of symptoms. Arthritis and osteoporosis cost the NHS billions each year and much can be done to help prevention and alleviate pain. There are many factors to be taken into consideration with these complicated diseases and wear and tear and hereditary factors also have a role to play.

I don't know about you but I find that getting motivated to exercise can be quite a challenge. I love to feel fit and healthy and but working long hours, dark mornings and nights give me all the excuses under the sun not to get down the gym or go out for a run. I have been insearch of an exercise routine, something that excited and motivated me to get in shape.
