Spring is a wonderful time to look to nature for a natural way to cleanse and detox. A few months ago I embarked on a Natures Larder Medicine Chest course to learn about our native wild plants and discovered the delicious wild greens of nettle, dandelion and burdock.
I don't know about you but the idea of a drunken weekend, ‘L' plates and silly hats, is not my idea of fun, even in my 20's I used to try and avoid Hen weekends, so when it came time to organise my own, I very nearly didn't have one. Then an email came into my Inbox labelled ‘Hen Weekend Retreat'.
A few years ago I came across a video interview of a woman who had been healed of Cancer without the use of medication or surgery. I remembered her shining eyes, radiant smile and soft voice as she spoke of emotions and repressed cell memories, how they remain stored in the body, holding you back emotionally and physically and the importance of learning forgiveness to allow the body to heal.

I am always amazed at the knowledge we have gained from the past, using simple herbal remedies to soothe sore throats, reduce inflammation and aid digestion, applying simple breathing techniques to reduce stress and symptoms such as asthma, and simply by being grateful we can change our perception and improve our overall happiness.
Bread is the most common food that my patients talk about. It seems to be causing digestive problems like bloating, headaches, fatigue, nausea, IBS etc. More often than not bread is avoided due to a self diagnosis of wheat/gluten intolerance without really knowing what grain is causing what symptom, and is it actually the grain but something else entirely that is causing the problem?
