Biography: Lys Hix  - Counsellor

I am a trained counsellor and bereavement counsellor and have also trained in general and psychiatric nursing.

I have been working with children and their parents for the last ten years specialising in dealing with bullying, eating disorders and self esteem, with children aged from 4 to 18. (Recent C.R.B. (police) check)

I am the mother of a boy and a girl who have both safely passed through their teenage years. Both have said they would recommend me to potential clients which I guess is encouraging!

I work within a 30 mile radius of my practice in Sevenoaks. This includes Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells, Edenbridge, Limpsfield, Westerham, Godstone, Bromley and Orpington.

When the retired boxer Joe Calzage set up his cyber bullying website 23,000 youngsters accessed it in the first 3 weeks, many of whom expressed ideas of self harm or suicide.
