Nicci Talbot is a women's health expert and the author of six health & sexuality books: The Menopause: An Essential Guide, Fast Sex, Unzipped, Orgasm, Get Over Your Break-up, and The Beauty Book (Movie Star Magic for Tweenies). Nicci studied sex therapy at Birkbeck, University of London, and is working towards an ITEC diploma in holistic massage. She is currently working with the team at Wellington Square Natural Health Centre in Hastings. Her interest in women's health issues stems from personal experiences of amenorrhoea, vaginismus, and lack of libido. Medical treatment for this included the contraceptive Pill, HRT, and sex therapy.
Unhappy with the effects of HRT, she decided to explore alternative therapies and managed to regulate her hormonal cycle with a course of Chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture. She has participated in various workshops and courses including Tantra, g-spot, yoni massage, Kundalini yoga, the Orgasmic Diet, and libido, hypnosis, Vipassana meditation, and sexuality workshops.
Her current areas of research are Tantra for couples, libido and long-term relationships, natural beauty products, and the effects of chemicals in personal lubricants on health and fertility.
