Biography: Claire Piper - Osteopath

Claire Piper D.O.,D.P.O. qualified in 1991 from the European School of Osteopathy in Maidstone. Claire went on to work at the Osteopathic Centre for Children in London for five years (now the Foundation for Paediatric Osteopathy), initially as a student of the Diploma in Paediatric Osteopathy and then as a member of staff and clinic tutor. Claire left just before the birth of her first child.

My clinic specialises in sports massage, rehabilitation and excercise programmes for the sports person or for the non sporty person. I deal with all sorts of soft tissue injuries, bad backs necks and shoulders, tennis elbow, knee, hamstring and calf muscle problems.

I also do relaxing swedish massage to help relieve tight tense muscles.

Dadi (Elder Sister) Janki has dedicated more than 70 years of her life to the work of the Prajapita Brahma Kumari Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya (Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University) of which she is the Administrative Head. She began her spiritual apprenticeship in 1937 at the age of 21 and was one of the founding members.

The life I used to lead was like most of my generation an extremely unhealthy life with an unbalanced diet consisting of all the wrong foods and copious amounts of alcohol and cigarettes, a party animal. I reached a point 4 years ago where I wanted to lose weight and began to look after myself. Through diet and exercise I lost 6 stone.
