King Henry VIII School in Abergavenny took third place at the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) Faraday Challenge Final on Thursday 11 March.

The final was held at the Big Bang Fair which is billed as the UK's largest single celebration of science and engineering.

This was the culmination of 35 events across the UK which has seen 210 schools go head-to-head. Each school was challenged to design and make a prototype device that would allow homeowners to remove water out of their house during periods of flooding.

Holiday tummy trouble is blighting life for millions of Britons travelling abroad with two-thirds suffering from upset stomachs, a major research study has found. The study of 4,000 people by Life's Biotic, a new and proven probiotic food supplement, revealed that 66 per cent of adults in the UK experience significant digestive problems while on holiday or travelling on business. More than three quarters - 77 per cent - of sufferers said the problem had badly affected their trip.
